Cow Testing Yields Mixed Results for Coos Curry Herds
The Coos Curry Dairy Herd Improvement association report shows 86 cows culled from 22 herds in 1946. Butterfat production ranged from 423.7 pounds per cow in the top two herds to 249.8 pounds in the bottom two, with overall average around 400 pounds per cow. Weekend haul boosts Oregon anglers with big catches
Three local anglers enjoyed a fruitful weekend on streams and sloughs in southwestern Oregon. Clayton Mast landed a 27 pound chinook on the Regne river near Agnus Sunday. For the week ending Tuesday the city recorded fines on drunken and disorderly conduct, reckless driving and wrong parking. Total fines were $277 with seven at 25 dollars, one at 50 dollars, two reckless drivers at 26 dollars each, and a 200 dollar wrong-parking charge plus a lecture. One case is held in abeyance on bond. Two violators were women.

Union High Music Group Prepares Large Festival Schedule
