Myrtle Crest district Science Fair schedule announced

The district wide event runs March 8 to 31 at Myrtle Crest school with 420 to 460 students. Projects are judged Friday March 29. open house March 30 from 10 am to 5 pm. program at 7:30 pm by the Myrtle Point science department with talks by teachers and visiting scientists and a PTA coffee hour. Sunday hours March 31 run 10 am to 3 pm with the gym open to visitors after 3 pm.

Gunshot Kills 11 Year Old in Home Accident

Gary Perry, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Perry of Gide, died Saturday after a gun discharged during a playmate visit. The shooting occurred at the playmate’s home while the boys were roughhousing. Funeral services were set for Tuesday in Roseburg. Survived by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Oscar Holliday of Roseburg, Perry was born near Remota before the family moved to Glide.

The upgrade increases capacity and enables higher quality offset printing from the local office, reducing steps and saving both customers and the printer.
