Bridge 4-H Club Doughnut Sale Planned Saturday

The Bridge 4-H clubs will bake doughnuts at the Grange hall Saturday morning. Doughnuts will be sold at the Bridge store and around town all day, announced by Mrs. David Waterman. This is a combined project of all Bridge 4-H clubs.

School Board Renews Teacher Contracts

The Myrtle Point district 41 school board met to renew teacher contracts for those with less than three years in the district and for three year veterans. They also heard a denied bus driver salary raise request and noted retirements and resignations affecting Arago staff.

The Myrtle Point community begins Smith-Hughes vocational agriculture in 1920s with Earl R. Cooley guiding new program. By 1960 a 900000 building opened, projects flourished, farm shop built, and MP FFA won first stock judging cup in 1929. Basketball and magazine activities expanded as the chapter grew.

The Security Bank of Myrtle Fast received bonds totaling 36,200,841 under the Bancroft Bonding Act. The bank bid a 344 percent interest charge on the bonds and property owners may bond to pay for street and sidewalk improvements. The act governs the bonding process and repayment terms.
