Coos County Fair Board Elects Officers for 1937
Coos County Fair directors reopened at the Coquille hotel Tuesday evening and reelected all officers for 1937. Ellis S. Cement of Myrtle Point remains president, Henry Hees of Coquille remains vice president, L. H. High School Board Plans Bond Refunding at Myrtle Point
The Myrtle Point Union High School board met for an opliatic session to approve refunding the remaining 17 060 bond issue with funds on hand. At current rates the district would save about a thousand dollars yearly by reselling bonds. County Treasurer Charles Stauff aided the refunding plan and the board also cut warrant interest to the lowest level since the new building opened. The district tax rate is just over one mill higher than last year.
