Arago Voters Back High School Consolidation
Voters in Arago and Myrtle Point approved consolidation last Thursday June 23 uniting the districts into a single High School District. The move makes Union High School District No Mo a first class district and removes it from Rural School board oversight. Transport for Arago pupils will require buses and a driver with seven miles between towns. Last year 23 Arago students paid tuition and transported themselves.

Trainload Lime Made Available For Coos Farmers
Coquille June 28 Farmers in this area will receive a trainload of agricultural lime the week of July 18. George Jenkins County Agricultural agent and secretary of the Agricultural Conservation association says the shipment will be handled by Agricultural Lime Distributing Co and delivered to farms within ten miles of the railroad at 12 dollars per ton. Larger distances add ten cents per mile. Cash costs include six dollars per ton plus mileage for orders via purchase plan. Deliveries at the car on farm trucks cost four dollars and fifty cents cash. The Production and Marketing administration covers the remainder. Farmers should order by July 15.

Mast Hospital Affiliates With Blue Cross Plan
