In a letter to his mother from Germany dated May 7 1645 Pfe William R Stevens describes seeing a concentration camp described as the worst he has witnessed overseas. He notes prisoners starved and weakened while medicos work to keep the dying alive and explains parts of a German rifle he mentions removing.
