Street dance kicks off Myrtle Point Bicentennial celebration
The City Council approved a Fourth of July street dance in the Fifth and Maple parking area with Alias performing from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The McKinley Fairview band donates its time. Police and Lions Club volunteers will staff security and service stands. A city fireworks fund and bicentennial events are planned throughout the day at the Fairgrounds with a church service, Loggers Museum opening, baseball games, and a flag ceremony at City Hall.
