The Myrtle Point Bandon road crew finished near last week and will move to Bear Creek job, then return to Myrtle Point to begin work on the west end bridge approach. Chas Brodrick again wears a blind over one eye after emery dust entered the eye weeks ago causing sustained trouble. He previously traveled to Portland to consult an eye specialist about the condition.
Mrs. Rey M. Vinyard, her sister Mrs. Hulet, and relatives from Fortland and Ashland were traveling to Bandon beach when their car collided with a Coast Auto stage near Coquille. Mrs. Hulet suffered a badly bruised leg. others were bruised but expected to continue the outing after medical care and return to Bandon.
Rev. J Templeton of Eugene accepts invitation to fill Presbyterian pulpit in Myrtle Point during the summer. He will spend much time here and be available for special ministerial services. Located in the manse beside the church.
Dr and Mrs J D Chambers plan to attend the event with guests C Edward Clarke Chicago baritone and Rachel Steinman Clarke violinist. Mrs Schroeder arrives from Great Falls Montana and visits Handersons. Schroeder family left Myrtle Port in 1909 and Mrs Schroeder returns for first time since.
Hugo Gurney comes home to Myrtle Point after more than a year away. He went to Ohio for forestry studies then switched to ministry studies at a Springfield Illinois school. He spent last summer at a Wisconsin newspaper, plans to return by August 18 as school opens. He shot many Kodak views of Springfield and Lincoln memorials.
Voters attend a road meeting amid debate on spending over 400000 for Myrtle Point area road work. Proposals include new reeds along Myrtle Point road while residents in the north portion oppose statewide bond funds preferring district tax funding.
Arago families took a half holiday for a beach picnic at Banden with about eighty people and sixteen cars. The day featured a classball, swimming, baskets, and a sense of community that highlighted cooperative spirit in the Arago district.

Mrs. George Meisinger and her husband T L Meisinger and their child Patty were in a severe crash four miles south of Cottage Grove on a Friday. The Studebaker crossed the center line and struck their Ford, flipping it onto its side. Mrs Meisinger sustained a broken shoulder and facial cuts, Mr Meisinger was bruised, and Patty had minor injuries. The couple, later relocated to Eugene for treatment, learn that Mr Meisinger will be principal at Gold Hill next year.
Paul Brewer and The Herald report an error in Myrtle Point Chautauqua dates. The event now runs from July unknown to July 19th inclusive.
The council set July 16 as the deadline for property owners to repair walks or the city will install them and bill owners.
