CCC Youth Taken Critically In Hills Rescue
Sitkum CCC boy Stephen Dubas suffered a ruptured appendix while eight miles up Lost Creek trail. Lieutenant Yotz and three camp boys carried him on a stretcher through a brushy, steep route to a road where a ride to Coquille hospital arrived by midnight. He underwent immediate surgery and has a slim chance of recovery.

Funeral Services Held Sunday For Broadbent Pioneer
Funeral services were held at 2pm Sunday June 7 at Schroeder Funeral Home in Myrtle Point for William Thomas Warner 69 of Broadbent who died June 4 1936 after a goiter operation. Rev Charles Barklow led the rites and interment was at Norway cemetery. Born June 10 1868 in Broadbent he spent his life in the dairy business. He married Phena Parry February 24 1885 and they had five children all living. Surviving are his widow five children five brothers and one sister and five grandchildren.

Bryant a 24 year old former Myrtle Point athlete and son of Henry and Mrs Bryant of Bridgewall receives a varsity letter with the Oregon track team.
