District 41 patrons will vote for a third time on a 1973 74 operating levy at a Tweedways special election. Polling hours run 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Myrtle Crest School and Dora Elementary School. After May defeats the board trimmed 96000 for high school furnishings, reducing the levy request to 1033482.
Four Myrtle Point students were awarded degrees at Oregon State University's 10th commencement on Sunday June 3 in Gill Coliseum, Corvallis. David G. Ralph earned a bachelor’s in business and technology, Carol A. Gatlin a bachelor’s in pharmacy, Lee R. Shull a Master of Science, and Clifford D. Lowell Jr a Master of Education.
A total of 124 eighth grade students received diplomas during graduation rites at Myr the Crest School on Wednesday May 30. Ernie Allen of District 4 presented diplomas to graduates including Blain Allen Matt Anderson Becky Baker Madonna Barklow Tami Baseman Ross Baser Billy Bouska and many others.
