Local Boy Weds Trial Girl in Texas Ceremony
Mr and Mrs Marlin Evane announce the marriage of their daughter Betty Jo Miller to Gene Turner on Sunday July 18 in Burianett Texas with Betty Jo in a marquisette gown and pink white carnations. Maid of honor was Betty Jean Turner from Wichita Falls and reception followed at the bride’s home. The couple will reside in Wichita Falls. Gene received orders and will be housed in dinner time. The Presbyterian church and Sunday school plan their annual picnic on Sunday July 9 at Mast Grove Lee with a devotional service and church members urged to attend. Cars depart church around ten.

War era ladies meet for clothing drive and county convention
The Ladies Meet prepared hundreds of pounds of clothing for overseas service. The Rebekahs held their annual county convention in Bea don on Tuesday afternoon seven. Theta Rho girls of North Berd showcased initistory work. Shortages cancelled the banquet. Mrs Emma Hermann hosted visitors and Mr and Mrs Gun Diets joined. Mrs Flentge Perkina entertained her bridge club with two tables in play.
