MPHS grid star hurt in '35 game now in hospital
Robert Belloni, son of Mr and Mrs John Belton of Myrtle Point, was injured neck vertebra in a home game last season. An X ray at Mast hospital showed the vertebra out of alignment. He is confined to Mast hospital for several days and will wear a neck brace after discharge. Charles Redell fills his classmate’s place at City Transfer Lane while Belloni is hospitalized.

Donkey engine accident claims Bay man Hedden life
Hedden, a Marshfield native firewarden for the Counts logging camp near Empire East, died after a snag pierced his skull while he operated a donkey engine. He was married to Juanita Hedden with two daughters and survived by his mother and three sisters. Funeral services, with the National Guards in charge, were held July 18 at a local funeral home and interment followed at Sunset cemetery.

Myrile Grange Reports On 4-4 School Visit
Ellis Rackleff son of Mr and Mrs Lawrence Rackleff of Arago spoke at Myrtle Grange in Schroeder hall about a summer school on an 8 scholarship. He said 1,400 children attended and 130 were sponsored by different granges statewide. Man Dies From Roof Fall On West Myrtle Point Ranch
G. C. Bjone died Monday July 20 1936 from injuries after a loose shingle on a dairy barn roof gave way at his West Myrtle Point ranch. He fell while working on the roof and later died after being treated, with relatives and friends gathering at his bedside. Bjone born August 6 1862 was a Norwegian who had lived in Coos County since 1882. He is survived by his widow Adeline Bjone and daughter Hannah Josef. Funeral services were set for 2 PM at Schröder Funeral Home with Dr. D. T. Robertson officiating and burial in Norway Cemetery.
