The Union High School Community Cannery now runs daily. Over 500 cans of peas beans beets greens and berries were canned this week under Ted Kirsch who oversees operations. An electric sealer at 20 cans per minute is installed enabling up to 2000 cans daily. Canning is by appointment only with all products prepped at the cannery per Edna Hoffman. Mrs Sylvia Kerr from North Bend Oyster Cannery serves as cannery operator.
