Brodie and Huntley Win State Honors in Conservation Contest
Jerry Brodie won first in the state essay division with History of Forest Conservation. Sheryl Huntley placed second in the poster division with Pleasures I Find In The Forest. Both graduates from Myrtle Point High School and top 10 students enter Merritt-Davis and Oregon State University respectively. Brodie heads the city recreation program and plans to study business. Huntley will study accounting in Salem.

Born March 7 1919 in Superior Wisconsin she lived in Myrtle Point 3 years and in the area 18 years.
