Class Starts For Training In Vocations In Myrtle Point
The defense training class in automobile and tractor mechanics began Monday night at the Eads garage in Myrtle Point and will continue for the next ten weeks meeting five nights a week for three hours. Twenty five boys signed up but only 16 can be accommodated in this first course with a second class hoped for after completion. The course, taught by Fred Warren with funds from the federal defense program, uses rented space and tools and will expand to metal working and welding. A similar class began Monday night at Coquille in the garage of Amzy Mintonye and Ernest Wardrip.
