Fire Destroys Lange Home Northwest of Myrtle Point
A fire destroyed the Lange home on North Fork road Tuesday evening. Fred Lang Jr. aged 12 rescued his four sisters before alarm. five children were in the house. The couple were away milking. the family is described as destitute. The fire’s cause is unknown, suspected spontaneous combustion. The Lang family had suffered a prior tragedy when their 19? year old son Larry died last summer.
