Mrs Helen Russell died at 4 am Wednesday at her son Elmer's home in Myrtle Point at age 80. Born November 10, 1874 in Cedar Rapids Michigan she lived in North Bend since 1905 before moving to Myrtle Point. She was predeceased by husband J Russell and two sons and a daughter. Survived by five sons Elmer Wiard Walter Harry Leonard a daughter Nellie Wintle three sisters Alma Dewitt Minnie McLean Arnie Shinkle 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren in Florida. Funeral at 11 am Friday from Schroeder Funeral Home Rev E V Ostrander officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.

Heart Trouble Causes Death of Elmore Neal at 71
Elmore Neal, living with the Oscar Parrish family of Gravelford, died Monday at age 71 after a long ill health. Born in Marion county Ohio to Elmore and Francis Ludwig Neal, he moved with parents to Corvallis as a child, later returning to Ohio and then Oregon, settling in Marshfield in 1888. He married Marguerite Schwartz and leaves one living child, Mrs Edith Parrish of Gravelford. A lumberman for 27 years, his Interment was today in the Catholic cemetery at Bandon officiated by Rev J J Roller.

Former Myrtle Point Youth Dies After Boxing Incident
John Kula, a former Myrtle Point resident and two year high school graduate, died in Orland from a brain concussion after a boxing bout with a younger youth. He had been on Glenn County California’s all county baseball team last summer and lived with his parents Mr and Mrs F J Kula on the Caroline Train ranch. He leaves a sister Mildred and a brother Joe of Orland and two sisters Elizabeth and Mary of San Francisco.

Sunday Blaze Destroys Ray Renick Home on Cemetery Road
A fire around 7 p.m. Sunday destroyed the Ray Renick residence and storehouse on Cemetery road, with Windsor County officials noting $3,000 in losses covered by insurance. The Renick family of four lost all but the clothes they wore, and neighbors aided in halting the spread to nearby buildings.
