Tobacco Cultivation Prospects In Cogs County
Yesterday, Mr. Besosky said he is encouraged about tobacco culture in Cogs county and plans to plant seed this spring. He has seed to plant ten acres but prefers a conservative scale. The moisture is just right and the soil seems well suited. He envisions a future linking tobacco with the dairy industry and intends to try it. Mr Bailor, from Elk creek near the North Fork road, showed tobacco samples at the fair last fall grown on his ground near Besosky's home.
