Myrtle Point Lady Bowlers lost the opening match at the Myrtle Point Bowling Alleys to Coquille. Coquille won all three games of the series with totals of 1 966 to 1 770 as listed for both teams. The Young People society of the Presbyterian church hosts a birthday dinner in the church dining room at 5 PM Thursday for Christian Endeavor week. Monday features a Father and Son dinner by men of the church for the Commercial club honoring Myrtle Point Boy Scout troop’s 27th anniversary with music and a short program.

Vandals Crack Valley View and Bridge Schools
Last week both Valley View and Bridge schools were broken into with doors and locks damaged. At Valley View on the Myrtle Point Coquille highway intruders smashed basement glass and removed doors after failing to force inner locks. Desks were ransacked and damage to locks and doors around $150. The Ernd noo building saw a jimmied window and broken locks across several rooms. A large shoeprint on a varnished floor in the upper part of the building is a leading clue to the culprits.
