A former Powers resident and lumberman died Thursday from a heart condition. He lived in Powers over 15 years after moving from Kansas during World War I with the Spruce division, later moving to Sweet Home for logging. Survived by Mrs Eaton, son Charles, and daughter Carol Ann, with relatives visiting Creswell.

Milton Richard Lee a 63 year member of Myrtle Lodge AF and AM died Monday February 2 after brief illness. Services were held at Schroeder funeral home with Rev W A Briggs officiating. Interment in Sunset cemetery. Survived by widow Louisa R. and 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Lee lived in Myrtle Point 74 years and worked in local grocery mercantile business. Born March 29 1863 in Lookingglass Oregon, came to Myrtle Point in 1874. Additional survivors include George B Lee and other relatives in California Oregon and Portland.

A March of Dimes silver drill raised 155 dollars. Lecturers program rules from the Zippers were discussed and Collette Stephen Sapp and the Browns sang Billy Bo. Readings and games followed and Collette Sapp won the attendance prize.
