Coos county wool growers sold the 1946 crop through Pacific Wool Growers as a county pool with about 60 participants. The pool was graded and sold to the Commodity Credit Corporation at an average net price of 50.04 cents per pound. Extra choice wools brought higher prices. settlements were distributed at the county agent’s office in Coquille on December 20 by R. A Ward and Bruce Arnold.
