Spreader stolen from Orin Shuli ranch recovered by sheriff
A fertiliser spreader stolen Oct. 3 from the Orin Shuli ranch near Arago was recovered this week by the Coos County sheriff's department. Valued at 9660, the spreader was found on a nearby farm in a crush and returned to the owner with no arrests made.

Myrtle Pots student homecoming honors injured teen
Marshall Krentz, a 17 year old Myrtle Pots High School junior, returned home from Sacred Heart Hospital after seven weeks. He was critically injured in a hunting accident near his bowl on October 28. Students decorated his home with balloons and posters and he will resume five days of therapy in Eugene. Friends encouraged to visit this Friday.

Terrain group trims trees and cleans up parks

Myrtle Point City Council Approves Street Improvements
The City Council approved street improvements on View and 19th Streets after strong owner signatories. Work will be 10 to 12 feet from the centerline with no driveways included, at about 8.78 dollars per running foot plus 25 percent contingency.
