Fourteen pages note 34 4-H club members received pins and achievement cards at the Broad Bent grange hall on December 4. Clubs from Gravel Ford Twin Oaks and Broadbent attended. nine clubs represented with 85 present. Beloved Pioneer Mrs Belle-Laird Buried in Dora
Mrs Belle Laird a longtime Coos county resident born 1865 in Myrtle Point and daughter of pioneer John Alvin and Amelia Harry died leaving four sons Ivan Laird Kenneth Binger and Carl Laird and two daughters Ethel Abernathy and Mildred Beehan among eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The service was held Friday afternoon in Dora.
Boy Struck by Car While Walking to Xmas Tree
Four year old Dickie Dopcralski was hit by a car driven by W E Miller at Maple and A Streets around 9 am Monday. He went to Mast hospital for examination and was found to have only minor bruises. The Doperalskis welcomed a new baby Alvin born Saturday at 2 am at Mast hospital and plan to return home soon.
