Streets lit and decorations completed by high school students and committees for the Christmas observance. Santa Claus will visit Saturday and on December 20 and following days. The annual community Christmas program is set for Sunday at 8 00 p m in the Union High School auditorium with the inter church fellowship and local music groups presenting cantatas and carols without admission.

Next Year's Football Schedule Drawn by Local Club

First Aid Unit Meets Monday

A night school for farmers in Myrtle Point will teach farm machine repair to support defense production. Harold Schaad heads the program with Henry Hermann as instructor. classes run 12 weeks at the high school training rooms, two hours weekly, no age limit, all costs covered by government. A metal work class, directed by Schaad and taught by Herley Parrish, began Dec 1 with 18 students aged 17 to 25, meeting five nights weekly for eight weeks.
