Christmas tree cutting weekends announced in Coos County
Christmas trees will be available for cutting during the weekends of November 11 12 and 18 19. Paul M Sanger Coos Bay district manager says interested residents may get a location map at the Bureau of Land Management office 333 South Fourth St Coos Bay during the week before their chosen weekend. Foresters will issue permits and supervise cutting. permits are not issued at the office. Trees cost per tree with a two tree limit per family. The first weekend cutting site is 22 miles east of Coos Bay. Coos County receives 79000 for land use from National Forest earnings during July August and September with the 3 month transition period totaling 23297405 68 to be divided among Oregon and Washington counties.

The U S Bureau of Labor Statistics reports real spendable earnings increased 0.5 percent from September levels after seasonally adjusting figures. The gain reflects higher real gross average weekly earnings, offset by tax effects on a married worker with three dependents.
