Grange Meeting Held Tuesday In Local Hall
Grange met Tuesday evening at the hall for its regular session with the council present. Visitors from Mediates Bird Green Dell and Ceqirite Granges attended, totaling 24 people. PFA boys sang two numbers with Mrs R W Schaed. Mr and Mrs Charles Hoffman received degrees. Dwight Culver led the council. The group planned a joint installation with Myrtle Grange on Saturday December 17. After the meeting, about 60 members enjoyed a luncheon.

County Herders Impose Restrictions on Cattle Sales
Coos county livestock committee actions restrict dairy cattle sales except for immediate slaughter from herds not officially designated free of Bang’s disease by county inspectors. The Myrtle Point library board met Monday afternoon in city hall. The librarian reported 1 017 books borrowed by adults 48 by children 23 state books and a total 1 539 books borrowed.
