Big Increase in Allowable Siskiyou Timber Cut

Mayor Elden Brodie issued a proclamation urging Myrtle Point residents to join a stepped up traffic accident reduction program starting December 1. He calls for cooperation of motorists and pedestrians and directs Chief W T Tankersley to enforce traffic laws during the holiday season. The proclamation, at the request of state safety officials, asks citizens to support safety efforts and conduct themselves in a safe, no careless manner.

Myrtle Point Plans Bond Election For Water Filter Plant
The Myrtle Point City Council voted to call an election on Friday January 3 1958 for a 250000 water bond to fund a water filter plant.
