The district released the new lunch prices effective at the start of the school year Tuesday Sept 8. Adults pay 75 cents. Grades 9-12 pay 50 cents, grades 5-8 pay 45 cents, and grades 1-4 pay 25 cents.

Local 4-H'er wins grand champion dairy showmanship trophy
Phyllis Purcelle of Coquille claimed the grand champion Livestock showman title at the Coos County Fair round robin event. She displayed the Alpin dairy goat against top rivals including Donsa Davis, Thresea Knight, Carol Summers, and Rick Evees, with each champion presenting all five animal types. The judges noted skillful handling and nerve wracking nerves across species and crowned Phyllis by a narrow one point margin.
