The Coos County Natal Day Association will hold its 54th annual meeting in Myrtle Point with events at Myrtle Crest school and the Community building. Registration 10 a.m. to 12 noon, luncheon at the school cafe, afternoon session 2 30 p.m., evening session 8 p.m. Officers include Della Belloni president Ralph Whitaker vice president and Mrs Ellis Shull secretary.

North Bayside Grange Dominates Coos County Talent Show
The North Bayside Grange won first place in the annual Coos County Grange Talent show held at the fair. Bridge Grange finished second with its skit Can Cants, while Coquille placed third and Bandon fourth. other participants included Fairview, Myrtle, Arago, and McKinley Granges. Scholarships worth 200 each were awarded for one year at Oregon State College. The event featured new portable stands built by Coos County Pomona Grange with John Rether supervising.

Bowman Crowned Queen and Bread Baking Champion at Coos County Fair
Mrs. K. S. Bowman of Fourmile won top honors as Champion Bread Baker of Coos County and was named Queen of the 1955 Coos County Fair. Sam Dement, president of the fair board, presented a crown cap prize after the Talent show Friday night.
