Texans Visit Former Pupil On 500 Acre New Mexico Farm
Mr and Mrs Verne Lundy hosted Mr and Mrs A J Basel of San Angelo Texas this weekend. The Basels own a 500 acre cotton farm in New Mexico and arrived with a 1 245 pound trailer built by the same maker as the Lindbergh plane. Basel was Lundy’s former schoolteacher. They planned a Seattle return trip after two weeks.

Fires threaten hilltop properties in two blazes
A 330 pm alarm sent firefighters to the John Sperry barn on cemetery road where a hog cooking fire sparked nearby.
