Retired Minister Charles Smith Dies in Coos Bay Area
Charles Smith, a retired minister born August 2, 1881 in San Juan California, died Tuesday morning at his Maple Street home. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:30 pm at Schroeder mortuary led by Rev Walter Smith of the local Assembly of God church. Interment followed at Sanest cemetery in Coos Bay. He had lived here for several years.

Former Local Episcopal Rector Dies In Toledo
Former Toledo rector Rev Mr Bell died Sunday evening at his home in Toledo. Funeral services were held Tuesday with interment in Toledo. He once led St James Episcopal church in Coquille and conducted mission services at Myrtle Point. Bell served in California before retiring. Survived by wife four daughters and six grandchildren.
