Sun in Driver's Eyes Caused Wreck at Coffee Cup Ranch

A wreck at the Coffee Cup ranch occurred last night when sun glare blinded the Ford driven by Pierson and two others en route to Corvallis for a Legion convention. The Oakland coupe carrying Lt. Rutherford sustained heavy damage with punctured tires, a broken top, and a shattered front spring. Pierson suffered a fractured collar bone.

Picnic Draws Three Hundred At Norway Grove

About 300 people attended the Spanish American War Veterans picnic at Norway Grove on Sunday. Guests included representatives from the G R Spanish American veterans and the auxiliary, along with descendants of the G A R. The afternoon featured a picnic dinner stunts and various sports.

Grangers Enjoy Picnic in Harold James Yard

The Grangers held an evening picnic at Harold James yard by the river with about 70 Bridge Grangers and guests. Music by local and visiting musicians plus songs by Harry Cunningham and others provided a rare treat as attendees from Myrtle Point Albany and Kansas joined. The Loyal Temperance Legion met nearby, and Charles Mack is building a new barn on his property.
