County Arrests Homer J McJunkins on Murder Charge
Homer J McJunkins age 33 was arrested last Wednesday on a murder charge for shooting his wife five times in the back in the presence of his mother and children. Mrs McJunkins died a few hours later. McJunkins, a Tennessee native, will await grand jury action in October. He cited association with other men as the motive. Vern Kerns and Cecil Langdon, both 18, who stole a watch and ring from a parked car near North Bend and Marshfield, were sentenced to five years each with a stay of execution until the first motion day in September. Lou McCutcheon, 50, of Powers, was jailed on a disorderly charge and is serving a $10 fine and costs. Leonard Wil ready was taken into custody on a charge of stolen property.
