Better Homes Cake Baking Contest Held For School Groups
A cake baking contest during Bette Homes Week draws high school students and middle graders from fifth to eighth class. Cakes are taken to the Myrtle hotel building between one and three thirty Saturday afternoon for judging at three thirty based on appearance texture and taste by judges Mrs Eve Hazelwood Mrs Florence Sum merlin and Mrs Sadie Harlocker. First and second prizes awarded to winners of each class by the Woman's club.

Sixth Annual Night School at Union High School
The sixth annual night school will be held at Union High School next Monday evening with classes starting at seven and half hour sessions.
