Coos County Chamber Discusses Taxes and Civic Roles

At Floyd's Cafe Monday evening officials reviewed unpaid Coos County taxes totaling 3,745,161 dollars and urged state police and a tax study by civic groups. They backed Coquille's federal building drive, praised C G Coughell in the tax department, and allocated 5 dollars to the Coos Marine Biology Committee. The next Chamber meeting is set for Empire on June 20.

Redell wore a grey traveling suit with blue accessories and corsage of talisman rosebuds and orange blossoms. Her sister Wilma attended in blue with pink scorpeas and white cyclamen. Mise Redell is a Myrtle Point High School graduate class of HM and worked at Myrtlewood bakery before marriage.

Townsend Clubs Plan All Day Meeting in Coquille

A Townsend clubs committee from Douglas Curry and Coos counties met at W W Tilghman’s home to organize an all day mass meeting at the Coquille Community building on Sunday April 34.
