Valley Men Report for Pre Induction Physical Exam
The Coquille Selective Service board called the largest group of men to report for pre induction physicals in Portland on Tuesday. Harold T. Hall 27 year old Liberator crew chief in England set a record with 26 missions by the Zoot Bacot and seven by others without a turn back. A former Myrtle Point donkey puncher and U of O student, Hall trained as a mechanic and kept B 24s flying through raids from North Africa to Romania and Osnabruck. Promoted to staff sergeant and recommended for the Legion of Merit, Hall reflects on hours of work and dangers guarding the big bombers.

Women Needed On Dairy Farms In Oregon
