Prices of grain put grangers in action
Acting on a suggestion by Pomona Grange Master Henry Gustafson Bridge Grange Master Harold James organized a Bridge Grange committee to survey local farmers on annual grain usage for seed and feed. Similar committees may form in all Coos county granges to explain high farm grain costs while wheat prices are low.
School Operetta Guides Young Cast in May Performance
On May 14 Miss Georgia Hickman directs an operetta of first to fifth graders. Eighty eight children perform Goldilocks Adventure at Union High School with dances songs dialogues and costumes in connection with the eighth grade graduation. A small charge funds expenses.

Miss Wikberg Wounded in Auto Crash In Walla Walla
A letter from Miss Olga Wikberg reports she is hospitalized in Walla Walla after an automobile accident. Surgeons stitched her knee and lip damage while noting a broken kneecap and shoulder injury. She will remain in the hospital for some time. Contact via Walla Walla Valley General Hospital.
