Two arrests were made in Myrtle Point in a vice crackdown led by Marshal Bert Pearsop. Albert Alfred Bahr, 22, of Myrtle Point, faced immorality charges while Pearl Marie Neff, 21, of Roseburg, was fined for a disorderly act in a trailer house near the Myrtle Point Wrecking Yard. Pearsop reported authorities would remove the premises and fence the lot to comply with state law, with other details about ownership disputes and watchman arrangements.
Herman Tedsen of Nowas narrowly escaped serious injury when his car left the Myrtle Point Coquille highway crossing the North Fork and overturned three times into a railroad ditch. He and his daughter Anita escaped by climbing through a jammed window with neighbor Mrs Amelia Nelson walking nearby. A logging train passed minutes later, narrowly avoiding a collision as Tedsen flagged it down.

Coos County Fair directors met at the hotel in Marshfield Tuesday to discuss admission charges. They voted to set adult admission at seven cents and to admit all school children in grades one through twelve free on all three days of the fair, replacing the former Friday-only free admission.
