Rogue River Conservation Committee to Meet in Gold Beach
The Rogue River Conservation Committee plans a general meeting in Gold Beach on April 9 with representatives from across the Rogue river basin. The group argues dams would ruin sport fishing and recreation, noting Rogue sport fishery brings over $200000 annually and basin plans aim to protect spawning grounds for ammon and steelhead. Kenneth Denman of Medford chairs the Basin Committee and will present material at the June hearing. Mr and Mrs W A Roberts of Arago traveled to Portland this week visiting Vancouver relatives.
