Club Women Convene With Local Talks and Tea
The Powers Woman's Club hosted a Wednesday meeting with talks on forest recreation, federation plans, and local civic efforts. Highlights included musical interludes, a junior club tea, floral decorations, and a piano piece ending the session. 81 women registered.
Achievement Day Set for Myrtle Paint 4-H Clubs
Achievement Day for Myrtle Paint 4-H clubs scheduled Friday afternoon May 16 at the Junior High school. Members finalize plans for project displays with leaders Mrs. Gertrude Jensen and Mrs. Emily Shull guiding 8 to 11 projects expected.

Cops chapter of the Childhood Education association met at Myrtle Point Grade school Saturday. A nominating committee was chosen for upcoming year. State examiner to hold driver permit sessions in Myrtle Point
Ward McReynolda, state examiner of operators and chauffeurs, will be at Myrtle Point City Hall next Thursday April 10 from 10 am to 5 pm per the secretary of state's office. Drivers seeking permits are asked to contact McReynolds during these hours.

Labor Liens Filed Against HZ Christian Near Brookings
Nearly 20 labor liens were filed this week against HZ Christian for work near Brookings prior to August 18 1936 with demands issued then and partial payments made October 18 1936. The liens total various sums plus attorney fees and include names such as Earl Christian Stanley Kindle Wm Owen Jack Endert James A Porter Mason Davidson and others. An interest judgment of 6 percent from October 15 1936 is requested on all liens.
