Grand Jury in session investigates Leach case in Coquille

Coos county grand jury continued investigations into the Leach case. Witnesses from Bandon and Coquille were examined. A telegram inviting Dr. Leach to testify arrived with no reply. Special Prosecutor Ringo did not appear. a report is expected tomorrow.

Local fair game ends in tie with extra inning run

In a Uemond game at the fair grounds last Sunday afternoon the Norway baseball team tied a pickup team in a 2 to 2 score through nine innings. Norway scored in the tenth. As press time no definite games are known, but enthusiasm for baseball at the fair remains.
