The Ten-Bar ranch eight miles east of Bend offers 640 acres for sale to competent farmers in 40 and 80 acre tracts. Prices are 2500 for 40 acres and 5000 for 80 acres with mortgage terms at 6 percent. J. D. Finn plans to build housing on each tract.
The funeral of Vufus W. Lundy, held last Saturday from the family home in Myrtle Point, drew a large crowd from Coos County. Rites conducted under Masonic auspices included a Knights Templar escort from Pacific Commandery No. 10 of Marshfield, with attendees from Marshfield and Bandon listed by name.
Fine fall crop on hillside ground produced tall oats and vetch planted six weeks ago by Bruno Lange for early spring dairy feed. The unusually warm weather this fall meant he cut the growth for fall feed this week, proving the beach lands in Myrtle Point section can raise dairy feed.
A new Sunday schedule on the C B R E R N Co line takes effect next Sunday November 29 with a train from Marshfield to Myrtle Point at 12 10 PM and return at 1 50 PM. Weekday trains No 1 No 2 No 3 and No 4 run with Nos 1 and 2 carrying passengers and mail and Nos 3 and 4 as mixed trains.

Allied actions persist in Argonne while British ships resume bombardment of Belgian coast towns, causing some casualties. The US consulate in Warsaw reports damage from a German airship, and Russia presses on in the Caucasus toward Erzerum as Turkish forces falter. The Cologne Gazette rejects peace talks rumors as folly.
Portland Oregon November 24 special. Pacific International Livestock Exposition management eliminates all breeding stock entries and confines the show to meat animals due to foot and mouth disease in the Middle West. Breeding classes are dropped for cattle hogs and sheep. stock shown will be slaughter stock. Manager Plummer says there is no real danger of disease entering the region, but risk is unacceptable and this action will likely receive broad approval.
Last Thursday evening a burglar entered the Collins home in West Myrtle Point through a back door after Mr and Mrs F A Collins went to theater. Only a pair of high top shoes were taken from the house but 150 pounds of beans vanished from the barn granary. Beans tracked to riverbank where hidden under rubbish.
Marshfield attorney Tom Hall visiting town to interview pioneers about the Bluford Davis estate. Mrs Waters claims one half as a daughter of Mark Davis, a full blood Indian hint cited by Bay area elders. Estate valued around 675000 with probate history questioned.

Mrs E E McCracken nee Ihrig died November 22 1914 at 58 years 1 month 22 days after a three month illness. Born September 30 1856 in Roan County Indiana she leaves eight children sixteen grandchildren and two sisters. Funeral at Brethren church followed by Norway cemetery burial. Family thanks friends for support.
