They request entries by January 1 1915 and through the expo period February 20 to December 4 1915 and invite donations or sales of salable items to benefit producers.

The Oregon Agricultural College professor H C Brandon advises yellow fir for medium cost furniture due to easy workability and stain finish at about 4 cents a board foot. Quarter white oak is favored for fine furniture at about 12 cents, with cedar for chests and closets, sugar pine for patterns and carvings at around 6 cents.
