Slide on Sugarloaf Mountain Blocks Road
A serious rock and earth slide on Sugarloaf Mountain above the school house last Monday night blocked the roadway. The outbound mail left at eight did not reach Bridge until six Tuesday morning. The new grade from summer cannot be used and likely won’t be this winter as slides continue. A trail around the big slide was made Tuesday for single horses and mail was rerouted.

Thanksgiving activities in Myrtle Point featured family dinners and local services at the Hermann building and Brethren church. A Christian Church revival drew crowds, with 37 members taking fellowship by Wednesday night and praise from singer Miss Roy.
