Club May Disband After Vote at Special Meeting

Harry Fenster Geo Willett and President L G Johnson were tasked to oversee the sale with a meeting set for November 24 to receive their report. $8 000 has been subscribed toward a proposed new cannery at Orenco.

I L Wheeler of Bandon, known locally for running a launch to Bandon, passed through en route home from Jacksonville where he and attorney A S Hammond faced a $10 000 damages suit against ex sheriff W J Jones. Wheeler says the case was compromised, with a supporting letter from former prosecutor B F Mulkey and sheriff W A Jones confirming the arrest for accessory after the fact and subsequent discharge for insufficient evidence.
