Col. Jewell Post No. 538 G A R outlines Memorial Sunday services at the Presbyterian church May 23 at 11 am with a union service and a march from Benson hall. A Saturday May 20 gathering for ex soldiers and ex confederates precedes cemetery exercises, plus a 2 pm program at Benson's hall with music, a speech by Rev R H Pierson, flag drills and recitations. Coffee available and a plea to avoid baseball and dances on Decoration Day.
