Miss Elva Carl daughter of Rev George C Carl of the Church of the Brethren and a former Myrtle Point resident will depart for San Francisco this evening. She sails May 9 aboard the Tongo Maru bound for Manila, a voyage covering about 10 000 miles expected to take nearly a month.
