The Myrtle Point Farmers Union local will meet Saturday May 16 for an all day session. W. W. Endicott presented a petition for a new Catering Creek county road at Coquille. Rev. A. J. Irwin preached at the Presbyterian church and left for Curry county with his eldest son. Invitations are out for the Myrtle Club season end party and dance tomorrow evening, the final social of the 1913 14 season and a large turnout is expected.

Killed in Logging Camp Chas Haughton Dies in Accidental Fall
Charles Haughton about 46, a son of pioneer Harry Haughton near Norway, was killed last Friday at Ansen’s camp near McKinley when a fallen tree top struck a dead stub. His body was brought to town and funeral held Saturday at Sindertaking. Burial in Norway Cemetery. His mother, two sisters, and his separated wife survive.
