Murder in Bandon Leaves Old Soldier Dead
An argument between Leroy J. Jones and his stepson William White ended with White stabbing Jones to death around 4 am. The 65 year old victim died almost instantly. White, 24, surrendered after fleeing to the woods. The coroner's jury found stabbing malicious but not premeditated. insanity defense expected.
