Death of Inez McDaniel in Marshfield fire at 16
Miss Inez McDaniel a 16 year old night operator at the Marshfield telephone exchange died after her dress caught fire from a small oil stove. She tried to smother the flames and ran to her mother’s room seeking help. Friends and neighbors extinguished the fire with a quilt but she died several hours later. Funeral held in Marshfield. Rev H M Branham officiated.
